Today was a very busy day for us, it feels as though we've been going non stop! Our social worker has meant to have a follow up visit but has too much on her plate and has cancelled on us three times now (we had to cancel once due to the flu bug finding its way to our home). After our third failed attempt this past Wednesday Adam phoned her quite frustrated. This home visit was suppose to happen around Michael's first month, so you can now see our frustration! Adam explained that this is unacceptable and that we both feel as though since Michael has been placed with us that we have been put on the back burner (so to say). Our social worker is based out of Phoenix, making it more difficult as we have had to pay her mileage to see either us or our tummy mommy (oy vey it gets expensive)! Needless to say our adoption agency hired a social worker based in Tucson and we had the pleasure of meeting her today for our post placement visit. We immediately bonded with her as she and her husband have two adopted children, and they live ten minutes east of us! She reassured us that we are still on track for our adoption being finalized in court come December. It's required that Michael accompany us for our court date, and we found out that the judge LOVES to take photos AND puts antlers on around the holidays! Adam and I are so relieved and anxiously awaiting our court date, I truly can't wait for our family to be finalized!

After the birthday bash we went to tailgate at The University of Arizona's home game. Each home game the fire union has an area that provides Tucson Fire's friends & family free food, drinks, music and fun. Here are a couple pics~
