Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today would have been my grandmas 91st birthday, although I know she's celebrating in Heaven with all of our (passed) family! She was an amazing person and I'm so thankful to have had her as my grandma! She touched my heart in more ways than can be counted!

Michael's first bar-b-q and birthday party~

Yesterday evening we ventured to our dear friend Todd's house for a bar-b-q to celebrate his daughters birthday. I captured this adorable photo of daddy & baby~

This will be framed!

The Children's Museum~

Yesterday we took a family outing to the Children's Museum, this was Michael's first time! He was astonished with all of the sounds and things to see. We met up with his tummy mommy and three brothers.

Perhaps JoJo is going to be a cop for Tucson Police?

Adryan may be a medic for Tucson Fire!

Michael's sticker into the museum~

Love this pic!

Daddy & Mikey wandering around.

Here comes trouble!

Out of all of the exhibits, Jordan enjoyed playing with the drinking fountain!

Michael was exhausted after a long day of exploring!

Palm trees are my fave!

I love the mesquite lined sidewalk.

Our fun day with Aunt Ashley & the boys~

My bff Ashley and her two (beautiful) sons (Travis & Tyler) came over yesterday for a little bar-b-q and fun. It's always a fun time had! Michael's Great Aunt Karen stopped by too!

Tyler loves his Michael!

The boys putting the tent together~

Poor Tyler, Otto can't get enough kisses!

OMG! He opened his eyes!

It was hard work, however I was able to bribe Michael to keep his eyes open long enough for a couple of photos. Enjoy, it doesn't happen often!

Perhaps I have a book deal in the works?

With all of Michael's sleeping poses, I feel that I should make a picture story book for him! Although I'm completely kidding, our little man has started to wake up once per night (God, I only hope that I didn't jinx us by writing this)! This leads to happier parents!

I can't believe that I'm sharing this, however I think I'm ready for baby #2! As quickly as Michael is growing, I feel as though I don't want to let go of the "baby" stage. I know, I know, he's only three months, and please know that I'm enjoying every stage! I never thought I would say that I'm ready for another one! However Adam is scared to death of adding another to the mix at this point. So for now I'm placing my baby fever on the back burner! Perhaps we can visit the thought of a cycle of IVF next year.

Sleepy head~

It seems as though the majority of Michael's baby photos consist of him sleeping in his pack and play~ I swear, we do hold our little guy! And he does open his eyes on occasion! Here are a few cute sleeping poses.

Hey ladies, who wants to cuddle? I've got a spot ready and warm for you!

Hey sea horse, I suppose you'll do!

Happy 3 months!

Today marks Michael's 3 months of birth! Here are a few photos~

When it rains it pours!

I woke up yesterday morning and noticed that my left breast was aching, I figured I had slept in a strange position with my arm. I noticed that my breast had a few red spots, was firm to the touch, and felt quite warm to the touch. I had a hint that I was experiencing mastitis for the first time. Upon arriving at work I phoned my obgyn and asked kindly if they could call in an antibiotic (one of the pros of being a nurse, your doctors don't require you to come into the office as much). Needless to say I am grateful that I started the antibiotics as I have one mean case of mastitis.

For those of you that are unsure as to what mastitis is, it's an infection in the breast tissue when milk doesn't drain completely. It tends to show symptoms of the flu such as fever, chills, tender joints, and malaise. It's common to see redness, warmth to the touch & swelling of the breast. I unfortunately have all of these.

I truly knew that my journey into induced lactation wouldn't be an easy one, but my God! My poor boobs have taken a beating! I truly am grateful for the amazing gift of breast feeing our adopted son, I only hope that he'll be grateful for it too!

Misery loves company... Or so they say...

Adam & I had an unwanted visitor this past weekend, he showed up Thursday night around 8:30 pm. Who might you ask was this guest? It was a nasty virus that's spreading out of control like a wildfire! This guest brings with him extreme nausea, dehydration from vomiting, and yucky diarrhea. We had just settled in for a nice family dinner together when out of the blue I had to make an urgent trip to the bathroom. Unfortunately we spent our entire night in separate rooms, bathrooms that is. Thank God our home has 2 bathrooms, otherwise I can only imagine the mess!

I thought for sure that it must have been food poisoning as the two of us catching it at the same time shows too much coincidence. My mom took Michael for the day on Friday, and my dear friend Ashley took Michael overnight on Friday. Needless to say my mom & dad woke up with an unwanted guest at their house yesterday! Thank heavens the virus hasn't made it to Ashley's house as she has a 14 year old & an 18 month old!

With fall right around the corner I'm desperately wanting to pull the decorations out of the closet. However I'm struggling with it as it's still in the 100's here in sunny AZ! With Halloween nearing, I'm undecided on Michael's costume. I found an adorable sushi roll idea on Pintrest & it's something that I would love to create, although do I truly have the time? Should I give in on an adorable store bought monkey costume? Oy vey, the choices.

Speaking of Michael, I hear him wailing in his crib. Perhaps I should go see what he's demanding of me!

Future Fire Fighter?

Perhaps we have a future fire fighter on our hands as Michael is rocking his little fire outfit that his Great Uncle Bill sent him.
