Sabino Canyon Hike~

Tucson has a unique Southwestern desert oasis called Sabino Canyon. It's nestled in the Coronado National Forest. The hillsides are covered with prickly pear, cholla, & saguaro cactus. During the winter months when the rain is abundant the streams flow with water. There are hiking trails galore along the mountain or you can walk the 3.8 mile paved road. You can even take a guided tram ride up the entire or partial way.

Today a friend from work & I took our babies for a girly hike~ we pushed the strollers along while gabbing away. Needless to say, every muscle from my waist down is feeling the pain! I can only imagine what tomorrow will bring, although it's worth the added workout for my weight loss!

Preparing Michael for his ride~

He could care less as long as he has a stuffed animal to accompany him.

The fall colors in the desert are beautiful! They aren't quite as amazing as the beautiful NW.
