Rest In Peace My Friend~

I was woken by a phone call early this morning that Adam's captain was tragically killed last night by a self inflicted gunshot wound.

It has been a very gloomy and sad day in our home, because of the loss of such a great man.

Fred Bair was Adam's captain at Station 1 for 10 out of the 13 years that Adam has been on the job. Fred has always been such a gentle and sweet teddy bear, or bair (pun intended). He would give the shirt off of his back if anyone was to ask for it.

Words cannot describe the loss that brings with his passing. It seems that when it rains, it pours. My soul is heavy tonight, as tears shed for Fred.

Rest your soul in peace Fred, I hope that you are in a room full of radios and flash lights (in heaven).
