Our Christmas Cards~

Please forgive me if I forgot to send you a Christmas card! I was horrible about getting them out on time this year and didn't send them all out. I was a little preoccupied by our little mister. Here are the two versions of our 2013 Christmas cards. I deleted our last name as I don't want that public on my blog.

~2014~

After placing much thought into our decision Adam & I have decided that we will try one attempt of IVF (in vitro fertilization) this year in hopes of adding another baby to our home. We are going into our attempt with the mind set that it this is meant to be it will happen, & if it's not meant to be we are OK with that as well.

We don't have a date set as of yet, as we're waiting to have our taxes done and hopefully place a nice lump sum of money into our savings. I will have to be on birth control for three months prior to starting our cycle of IVF as it aids in controlling my endometriosis.

The cost is approximately $9,300 however my insurance will pay $5,600 per year. We may be able to subtract more money from the cost of medications depending on if my insurance will cover it. After all is said and done we're looking at paying somewhere around $3,100.

I will keep you all updated once we get closer. Here's a link of what IVF consists of.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of my family & friends! I spent my NYE at home with my boys, and truly couldn't have pictured it any other way. I tend to not go out on big holidays such as this as I've seen many innocent lives affected by drunk drivers or careless drivers (being a trauma operating room nurse). OK, perhaps with my family along the beach of The Bahama's (where Adam & I got married) would have been nice.

We decided to get take out from a local mexican restaurant (Macayo's) that has special meaning to Adam & I. 9 years ago yesterday I flew into Tucson to visit Adam, that night we went to Macayo's. We've made it a yearly tradition and have yet to break it! While Michael was a bit fussy last night we decided not to take him to the restaurant. Instead he was asleep in his warm little crib by 7:30. Not only does NYE signify our anniversary, it also marks the day that Adam proposed. It's a day that I will never forget!

While ending 2013, I took some time to reflect on our amazingly busy & very productive year. We were blessed to meet our tummy mommy & welcomed Michael into our home, hearts, and arms. Adam's grandma passed, I reconnected with my Auntie Trish & her loving husband Joe (he's my UJ). We did some minor home repairs, prepped the nursery, & took a couple of long weekend trips to Bisbee, AZ. We had lots of visits from our family & Michael's God Father Cheyenne. We caught a couple of colds & was visited by a nasty flu bug. Most importantly, we had received such unbelievable support in our decision to adopt from all of our family & friends.

I know that it's some what of a cliche to make NY's resolutions, although this year I would like to focus more on my close friends & family. And I would love to paint more of the interior of our home & make it warmer.

I hope you all had a very safe New Year's Eve!
